For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) In reply Jesus declared, I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. (John 3:3) Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6) That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame. (Romans 10:9-11)
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23

Should Religion be Taught in our Schools?

Here's a website that wants to end the debate of religion being taught in our schools. There's even a court case involved. Check it out and tell us what you think.

When evolution is used to explain life's origin and assumes and unprovable position (or faith) that God did not create life, is it then still science or has it just stepped over the boundaries of science to become a humanist religion? If it's religion, why is it taught in our schools?

If it's science, why don't we teach all that we know, and do not know, about the possibilities for life's origins and diversity with complete openness and honesty?

emoticon I think it's because someone is afraid that if we looked at ID and Darwin's theory side by side, we'd see how ridiculous evolution is, and that there is indeed evidence to back Intelligent Design.

I don't think religion should be taught in public schools, as we'd have to be taught ALL religions, in order to be fair to others beliefs.

As far as evolution goes. I think they get too much into it, and they should state what the thoerys are, and who said them, and leave it at that.

My kids' history teacher told them that some of the Bible is fact and some is not.

Hmm, what's more ridiculous, that or a monkey jumping out of a rock?

Have you seen the animal they claim that a whale evolved from? emoticon

It's been well said, that when you're in kindergarten, and you hear the story of a frog turning into a prince - it's called a fairy tale. But when you get into high school, they call it a fact. emoticon

It takes a lot of faith to believe in all that weird evolution stuff. Wouldn't you say?
