For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) In reply Jesus declared, I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. (John 3:3) Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6) That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame. (Romans 10:9-11)
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23

Reading Plan

Has anyone else heard of this? It's Grant Horner's Bible reading system, and seems like a lot of reading, but I think I'm going to give it a shot. You can download the info here on pdf, the explanation is about 4 pages long.

You'd be reading ten chapters a day, right now I'm only reading one chapter a day, so it's gonna be a bit more reading for me.
I can't really see how that could be a bad thing, though.

Wow 10 chapters a day!
Like you I only seem to manage one (or on occasion 2 chapters a day). But I gotta confess I tend to miss a few days each week. Maybe this would force me to stay on task.

Re: Reading Plan

Yeah, I'm going to give it a try, even if I can't keep up. I started today, and so far have only gotten through two chapters. I'll be reading some more tonight, though, and hopefully get caught back up.

I don't want to start off falling behind on the first day! emoticon

Re: Reading Plan

I'm reading Isaiah from 2 bibles in a parallel study right now. When I'm done I will give it a go.

It does seem a little weird to just read one chapter out of 10 different books each day, but I'm willing to it a try.

Yeah, it's not so bad. I've been able to keep up for the first two days of the study. I guess the idea is that you get a more full view of the Bible as a whole, with Scripture interpreting Scripture.
Some have said that they find that Paul is quoting something in the OT that they've just read while studying this way. We'll see how it goes.

Isaiah, huh? So what are you learning? Give us an overview.
